If you’re anxious to try it, keep in mind it’s just you and the bag! “One big thing in our classes is that it’s just you and your bag, so you don’t have to worry about getting hit, which usually breaks down a wall of fear,” Coach Dani says. She likes to remind new clients that 90% of members haven’t kickboxed/boxed before, so we encourage you to go at your own pace during class. “We’ll also place new clients in the back of the room where it’s dark, so there’s no fear of someone watching you (which lessens the fear of looking silly)!”
As you build your physical strength and stamina, you’ll also experience a boost in your self-confidence, and when you feel strong and capable in your body, you’re more likely to feel confident in other areas of your life as well.
