Grit Box’s first studio outside of Charleston will be located in The Line, a 16-story tower fronting the Rail Trail in the heart of South End Charlotte.
The high-intensity kickboxing and strength training studio will fill a 2,940-square-foot space at The Line, with the anticipation of opening in spring 2022. Sycamore Brewery is set to open its new ground-level location and new office tenants occupy the building around the same time.
“Charlotte has some great fitness options, and we’re excited to be a part of that community”, said Cody Cooper, Founder and Proprietor of Grit Box Fitness. “The energy I feel when I’m in Charlotte – and especially South End – is perfect for our vibe at Grit Box. We’re bringing something completely new to the market. We are excited to deliver a fitness experience that makes working out fun and exciting. We want everyone – beginner and advanced – to walk out of every class feeling more confident and motivated to get what they want out of life. And let’s be honest… who doesn’t want to feel a little more badass every day?”
“There has been a great deal of excitement around this property for quite some time, so it’s particularly fun to be able to announce one of the new tenants coming to The Line within the next few months”, stated Keely Hines, Vice President, Foundry Commercial. “The pure density in Charlotte’s South End – from both a residential and office standpoint – have made this a really attractive space for concepts looking to serve this population base.”
The Line directly fronts Charlotte’s Rail Trail, opposite Atherton Mill in the heart of South End and is within a six-minute walk of the Lynx Blue Line East/West station. A new Lynx station is planned on the immediate south side of The Line, further improving its outstanding transit connectivity.
