Former UFC Fighter and MMA Champion joins Grit Box Fitness

Luke Sanders brings championship pedigree to coaching and training at Grit Box Fitness

“Cool Hand” Luke Sanders will serve as Head Coach for Grit Box Fitness and brings over 15 years of coaching, teaching and personal training experience. Sanders will focus on advancing the Grit Box programming and coaching staff. Luke’s addition to the team comes at the perfect time to support the Grit Box expansion in the Carolinas.

The Nashville native is an 8-time UFC fighter with two MMA World Championship titles. Sanders earned the UFC Knockout of the Night award twice during his impressive professional career.

Prior to making his professional debut, Sanders compiled a 4-0 record in MMA and an 8-0 record in boxing. He made his professional debut for Strikeforce in 2011 and had an impressive 10-0 record before getting signed by the UFC.

Luke brings a unique style, swagger and GRIT to the team and he is committed to delivering the best fitness experience in Charleston.

Grit Box has also added Liz Majewski to the Grit Box Team as Director of Operations. Liz brings over a decade of leadership and management experience including 4 years in leadership roles with Orange Theory Fitness and two years in leadership with Shred415. Liz’s passion for fitness and customer service is certain to elevate the overall experience for the Grit Box community.
