FAQ’s – Downtown


Is this class for beginners, or do I need to have experience?

Zero experience necessary – come as you are and experience a high-energy class! GRIT BOX was created to allow beginners and experienced fitness enthusiasts to get a killer workout together in the same class.

What do I wear to class?

Workout clothes with closed-toed gym shoes. We also recommend bringing a small hand towel to wipe up that hard-earned sweat.

How early do I need to show up?

If this is your first class please arrive at least 15 minutes before class starts. A coach will walk you through the workout and movements so you're ready to hop in!

Do I need my own gloves?

Nope! You don't need your own gloves. We provide $5 glove and hand wrap rentals.  If you do have your own, feel free to bring them. Your thumb MUST be fully covered and the spot must be attached to the hand.

Want to track your workout during your sweat sesh? We've got you. Stay in tune with your heart rate by snagging a heart rate monitor ($5 rental). Watch your beats per minute rise and fall as you ignite your inner badass.

Do I need a membership?

We recommend a membership because you can jump into unlimited classes. But we do have bundles and drop in classes. Our team would love to sit down and chat with you about what would work best for you!

Is there an age limit?

Our classes are ages 16 and older.

Is there parking available?

There is first floor retail parking in The Guild parking garage all day (first three floors before 7 a.m. and after 5:30 p.m.). Street parking is also available.

What is the class structure and length?

The 45-minute class is divided into 8 rounds split between kickboxing and strength/stability. You'll be assigned a bag number and the corresponding strong bench and wall station.
